GuidedTrack Dashboard Overview

Updated on

Once you log into GuidedTrack, you’ll find a dashboard that aims to be pretty straightforward, designed to get you quickly to where you need to be to create and manage your interactive programs. While I don’t have a live screenshot to show you, based on how such platforms usually work and the information available, here’s what you can generally expect:

Program Management Area

This is likely the central hub where you’ll see all your creations.

  • List of Programs/Projects: You’ll probably see a list or grid of all the surveys, apps, courses, or experiments you’ve built. Each one would likely have its name and perhaps some quick stats or creation date.
  • Create New Program Button: A prominent button to start a new project. When you click this, you’ll likely have the option to:
    • Start from Scratch (Blank Program): For those who want full control and understand the syntax.
    • Choose from Templates: A selection of pre-built templates for common use cases like contact forms, surveys, lessons, or experiments. This is super helpful for getting a quick start.
  • Search/Filter: As you create more programs, you’ll probably have search or filter options to quickly find specific projects.

Editor Interface

Once you select or create a program, you’ll be taken to the editor, which is where the magic happens.

  • Code Editor (Left Pane/Area): This is where you write your GuidedTrack code. It’s a text-based editor. The beauty here is that the code is usually highlighted to show what’s currently active or being processed.
  • Live Preview (Right Pane/Area): As you write your code, you’ll get an instant, live preview of how your application will look and behave on the user’s end. This real-time feedback is invaluable for quickly iterating and troubleshooting. You can even see how it might look on different devices.
  • Toolbar/Insert Tools: While it’s text-based, GuidedTrack offers a toolbar or search bar to help you generate code snippets for different elements like questions, headers, buttons, etc. This is great if you’re not fully familiar with the syntax or just want to speed things up.
  • Error Indicators: If you make a syntax mistake, the editor will likely highlight the error, helping you quickly pinpoint and fix issues.

Data and Analytics

Beyond building, you’ll want to see how your applications are performing and what data they’re collecting.

  • Data Page/Section: This is where you can view information about how your program has been used. You’ll likely see how many times it’s been run and potentially differentiate between test runs and actual data collection.
  • Data Export: A crucial feature for anyone collecting information. You’ll be able to download the collected data, typically as a CSV file, for analysis in other tools.

Settings and Account Management

Standard account and program settings you’d expect:

  • Account Settings: Manage your profile, subscription tier, and billing information.
  • Team Management (if applicable): If you’re on a plan that allows teammates, you’d manage user access here.
  • Sharing Options: Get links to share your program or embed codes to put it on your website.

The GuidedTrack dashboard seems to be designed for efficiency, putting the code and the live preview side-by-side to make the development process as fluid as possible. It aims to minimize the learning curve while maximizing the power you have to create interactive experiences. GuidedTrack Review: Pros & Cons
